SharePoint - Content Type, Hid/Show Certain Coloumns Depending on Folders

Hello,

On Sharepoint, I have a library with several folders such as "Contracts" and "General." I had set up custom metadata for the library like "Contract Start" and "Contract End" but they apply more to the "Contracts" folder than the "General" folder. Thus, is there an option to hide certain metadata columns for the "General" folder but still show them for the "Contract" folder?

Note: I tested the hiding and showing option, but it does it for the overall library. Not sure if making a certain view page would do it.

It's by design that once you hide a column, it affects the entire library, not just one folder.

Per my knowledge, hide certain metadata column only for the "General" folder is not available.
