Hi,

When I created a VM in azure. After creation a VM I attached one unmanaged data disk into that VM.

After the process is finished. I typed "Disks" in azure search bar. I can not see any disk there. I think two disks should be appeared there.

But when I clicked on VM and goes to the "Disks" there I can see my both disks.

Please tell me why I can not see both disks in the disks resource. thanks

    Hi,

But today I checked again, I can see managed and unmanaged both disks under Disk resource. this make me confuse.

Sometime it shows only managed disks and sometimes it shows both managed and unmanaged disks.

@HASSAN BIN NASIR DAR Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!

Unmanaged disk are visible under Azure Storage account (storage account--> Blobs--> Container-->there you will find the VHD files)
It's by design Disk under portal is only for Managed disk
Unmanaged disk are visible only inside VM

    Hope this helps!

Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.
