Problematic Teams Link via Calendly

I've been trying to use Teams with my existing calendar booking App. I'm a freelancer so my Teams App is not with another administrator/enterprise account.

I've been using Zoom without any problems but I now need to use Teams for a client and it's not working so well with my Tech Stack.

But the Teams links generated are problematic. There are 2 problems

1 The Link generated by Teams results in all parties waiting for an organiser to start the session. I'm the intended organiser, of course but Teams isn't recognising that. Here's a sample link.

2 The link does not allow me or my guests to join via our Teams App. Only by the browser.

3 When I create a meeting in the Windows Teams App as a workaround to generate a new link, it doesn't allow my Guest to join via their App.

Here's a sample link

Can anyone diagnose the problem from the URL link structure?

I'm nervous about installing and reinstalling for fear of losing months of appointments.

    Hello Mel,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Community. My name is Abu and I'd be glad to assist you. Let's tackle the challenges you're encountering with Teams links and work together to find solutions

The link you provided (https://teams.live.com/meet/9453665062469?p=7KmyvbZxo5iKiQWL) seems to be a direct link to a Teams meeting. By default, Teams meeting links should allow participants to join either via the Teams app or through a web browser. If your guests can only join via the browser, it might be related to their individual settings or permissions. Make sure they have the Teams app installed and are signed in. To encourage joining via the Teams app, you can share the link directly within the Teams interface (via a Teams chat or channel).

Creating a meeting within the Teams app should ideally generate a valid Teams meeting link. If your guests are still unable to join via their Teams app, consider the following: Check if there are any updates available for the Teams app. Outdated versions might cause compatibility issues. Verify that your guests are using the correct Teams account (personal or work/school account). Ensure that the Teams app has the necessary permissions (camera, microphone, etc.) to function properly.

Keep in mind, that it’s essential to maintain your existing appointments. Before reinstalling anything.

If you have any further questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to reach out
