Capturing audio, video, and screen content from Teams meetings for later review or sharing
Dear John,
Good day!
Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist!
Based on your description regarding "Good day! Please I want to know if it is possible to pause the recording session and continue?" As of now, Microsoft Teams does not have a built-in feature that allows users to pause a recording session during a meeting and then resume it later. If you stop a recording and start it again, it will create separate recording files.
It has been concluded that the feature you are inquiring about is not yet available. However, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention, your suggestion is very helpful, and I believe it could make the use of Teams even better. We will surely raise your concerns to our Product Development Team and hopefully this can be included in the future updates. In the meantime, I did find similar request in the feedback forum Add Pause for Video · Community I have asked my team to vote, and you may upvote for this if it is in line with your requirement. Otherwise, you may as well provide feedback on this feature in your outlook by creating a new post as an idea to our Teams feedback site via Microsoft Teams · Community our Product Development Team are committed to enhancing the customer experience by continually examining suggestions to include in the design and development of future product upgrades based on your suggestions. Hopefully your suggestion will help many other people in the future.'
Please note that us as the community team and the Microsoft product development team are separate. The product development team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Microsoft products. They work on implementing new features, fixing bugs, and making improvements based on user feedback and other factors.
Thanks for your precious time and your understanding would be highly appreciated. Have a nice day!
Best regards,
