Hi Syed Javed76,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.
Yes, there is a machine-wide installer for Microsoft Teams. It's specifically designed for IT administrators to easily deploy Teams across multiple users on a single shared computer, or throughout an organization's fleet of devices.
Here’s how it works:
For the New Microsoft Teams Client (Recommended):
- Microsoft provides a lightweight executable called teamsbootstrapper.exe . This is the preferred method for deploying the latest Teams client.
- Online Deployment: You can run it with administrator privileges, and it will download the most current Teams MSIX package from Microsoft:
Run with admin privileges using the command:
teamsbootstrapper.exe -p
- Offline Deployment: It also supports deploying using a pre-downloaded MSIX package, which is useful in environments with restricted internet access.
- Automatic Updates: Once installed, the Teams application itself automatically updates per user whenever a new version is released by Microsoft.
For Classic Teams (using MSI files):
- MSI (Windows Installer) files are available for 32-bit, 64-bit, and ARM64 architectures. These are typically used for organizations still on classic Teams or with specific deployment requirements.
- Download from Microsoft’s official page: Bulk install Teams using Windows Installer (MSI)
