Removing participant from Teams meeting room chat

Question

Hello,

I have read some of the previous suggestions and tried them all to no avail. I am only able to "view and add participants" but there is no option to "remove" existing participants. I have read previous related threads and tried the suggestions to no avail. Please assist.

Thanks for your quick reply!

Based on tests on my end, you can edit the attendee list by following below steps:

• Go to the calendar and find the meeting.
• Right click the meeting and select Edit.
• Then in the attendee box, click the cross icon to delete a participant. (For an old meeting, you may need to click Show meeting info to expand the details.)
• After deleting, click Send update button at top right.

Thank you. I am able to pull up the attendance list but from there I see not option to remove a participant. This is all I see, when I try to select/right click/etc I see no option to remove a participant from chat. Thank you!

Based on your description, I understand your query on removing participant from Teams meeting room chat.

Upon investigation and tests on my end, to do this, you may try removing the participant from the attendee list of the meeting in calendar like in below screenshot.

After removing 2 attendees, they are both removed from the chat and they cannot send messages in the chat too.
