Controlling settings, permissions, and membership within Teams and channels
Hi,
I'm Ahmed and I am here & happy to help.
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with the Incoming Webhook connector. It sounds like you want to use a webhook URL without the @ character.
The webhook URL generated by the Incoming Webhook connector always includes an @ character. This is part of the format of the URL and cannot be changed.
However, there are some possible workarounds that you can try:
- Encode the @ character as %40 in your application. For example, if your webhook URL is https://outlook.office.com/webhook/******@def.com/..., you can use https://outlook.office.com/webhook/abc%40def.co... instead.
- Use a URL shortener service like Bitly or TinyURL to create a shorter URL without the @ character. For example, if your webhook URL is https://outlook.office.com/webhook/******@def.com/..., you can use Bitly to create a URL like https://bit.ly/1234.
- Use another service or app that integrates with Teams and supports webhooks without the @ character. For example, you can use Zapier or Power Automate to create workflows that send messages to Teams using webhooks.
