    Hello Prashanth1612,

I’m Segunfunmi, an Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you. Thanks for posting the query here in this forum.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this issue with Microsoft Teams. The error code 80090016 is a standard error in Microsoft Teams and Outlook that indicates a malfunction of the trusted platform module. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Clear the Teams cache: Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client. Go to File Explorer and type in %appdata%\Microsoft\teams. Then delete any file in the following folders:

    %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\application cache\cache %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\databases %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\GPUcache %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\IndexedDB %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\tmp

Update and clear the Trusted Platform Module (TPM): This will reset your security processor's default settings.

After these steps, restart your PC and re-open Teams to see if you can sign in successfully.

    Best Regards, Segunfunmi.

    Hi Segunfunmi,

deleted all the cache files even though the issue continued, and the same error code came.

not only teams but also can't able to use any application like Outlook, word and other Microsoft applications.

    Thanks,

    Prashanth
