Capturing audio, video, and screen content from Teams meetings for later review or sharing
Dear Elias Samuel,
Good day! Thank you for posting to the Microsoft community. We'll be happy to help!
To enable transcription and recording in Microsoft Teams for your organization, you'll need to adjust some settings in the Teams admin center.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you:
- Access the Teams Admin Center:
- Go to the Microsoft Teams admin center.
- Enable Recording and Transcription:
- In the left navigation, go to Meetings > Meeting policies.
- Select the policy you want to edit or create a new one.
- Under Recording & transcription, set Meeting recording and Transcription to On.
- Click Save.
- Assign Policies to Users:
- Go to Users in the left navigation > Manage user
- Select the user you want to assign the policy to.
- Under Policies, assign the meeting policy you configured.
- Start Recording and Transcription in a Meeting:
- During a meeting, click on the More actions (three dots) menu.
- Select Start recording and Start transcription.
These steps should enable the recording, and transcription features for your team. If you encounter any issues, make sure your Microsoft 365 subscription includes these features and that they are not restricted by any other organizational policies.
