Active Usage Timer

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out a way to get data on how much time my team spends using teams from the moment they start using it for the day until the last activity they did at the end of the day from calls, meetings, to DMs, & chat groups.

I need a timer that tracks when the user is active in teams then stops tracking if user is idle and then get the total minutes of active time per day.

    Dear Anna Dela Cruz1,

Good morning! Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, I know Microsoft Teams has a feature called "Activity Reports" that can provide you with information on how much time your team spends using Teams.

To access this feature, you need to be the Teams admin and you can follow these steps to access the Activity Reports:

    1. Go to the Microsoft Teams admin center.
    2. Click on "Analytics & reports" on the left-hand side menu.
    3. Click on "Usage reports."
    4. Select the report you want to view, such as "User activity" or "Device usage."
    5. Choose the date range you want to view.
    6. Click "Run report."

The report will show you the number of active users, the number of calls and meetings, and the number of messages sent and received. However, it does not provide a timer that tracks when the user is active in Teams and stops tracking if the user is idle.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions. Please understand that our initial response may not always resolve the issue right away. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution. Thank you for your help.
