I was able to add a meeting co-organizer in previous Teams versions. Recently my app has updated to version 25094.310.3616.953. and now I cannot figure out how to add a meeting co-organizer. I do not see an option for "meeting info" anywhere to get to the Roles screen to change a required attendees role to co-organizer.

    Hi Ashley,

Thank you for following up and sharing your findings. I’m glad to hear you were able to access the Meeting Options and assign co-organizers after adding a Teams meeting link to your invite.

As I researched, in Microsoft Teams version 25094.310.3616.953, the co-organizer role is only available for meetings that include a Teams meeting link. This is because the Meeting Options menu (where roles like co-organizer are assigned) is tied to the online meeting infrastructure. For in-person-only meetings, this menu is not generated, which is why the co-organizer option was not visible.

At this time, Microsoft Teams does not support assigning co-organizers for in-person meetings that do not include a Teams link. This behavior is consistent across recent updates and is not a bug, but rather a design limitation.

If you need to assign co-organizers for planning or coordination purposes (even for in-person meetings) you can:

    • Add a Teams link to the meeting (even if you don’t plan to use it)
    • Use the Meeting Options to assign co-organizers
    • Inform attendees that the meeting will be held in person, but the link is included for role management

If this functionality is important to your workflow, I recommend submitting feedback directly through Teams:

    • Click Help > Give feedback in the Teams app
    • Mention the need for co-organizer support in non-virtual meetings

Microsoft regularly reviews user feedback for future updates.

Let me know if you need help with anything else, I'm happy to assist!

    Best regards,

Hi, yes, I believe I've identified the problem. I did not have a Teams meeting link on the meeting invite as this is an in-person meeting. When I added the Teams link, I was able to see the Meeting Options and able to select roles. Will you be able to add co-organizers to in person meetings in the future?

    Dear Ashley,

Good day to you. Thank you for reaching out.

As I researched, in previous Microsoft Teams versions, the option to add a meeting co-organizer was accessible through Meeting Options. However, after updating to Teams version 25094.310.3616.953, the feature may have been modified or relocated. Below are the steps to Check for the Co-Organizer Option:

    Check the Meeting Options Menu

    • Open the Teams Calendar and select the scheduled meeting.
    • Click Edit > More Options and look for Meeting Options in the event details.
    • If available, go to Roles > Choose Co-Organizers and assign attendees.

Access Meeting Options via the Meeting Link

    • Open the meeting invite and Ctrl + Click on Meeting Options in the description.
    • If the link is missing, the option may have been moved or removed in the latest update.

    Verify Organizational Policies

    • Some organizations restrict co-organizer roles. Confirm with your Teams administrator whether this feature is still enabled.

I checked Microsoft’s official documentation, but there is no specific mention of changes to the co-organizer feature in Teams version 25094.310.3616.953. However, Microsoft frequently updates Teams, and some features may be moved or modified in newer versions.

To confirm whether the co-organizer option has been changed or removed, I recommend:

    • Checking the latest Microsoft Teams release notes here.
    • Reviewing Microsoft’s official support page on co-organizers here.
    • Contacting Microsoft Support if the feature is missing in your version.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to ask.

    Best Regards,

Chris-DKN - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist.
