Closed Captioning function disappeared from Teams video call settings

While engaged in a Teams video call on my work account, I was previously able to turn on Closed Captioning (CC) but this feature has disappeared completely from settings.

I attempted to include a screenshot of my video call settings but I am being blocked(??) from uploading an image.

Any thoughts? TIA.

    Hi John,

Sorry to know that you are experiencing this issue. Let me help you!

This is a per-user policy and applies during a meeting. This setting controls whether the Turn on live captions option is available for the user to turn on and turn off live captions in meetings that the user attends.

You can check this link to enable it: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteam...

If the option is not present on your settings, please contact the Teams Administrator to check the meeting policy to enable the Captions.

Let me know if you need further help.

    Best,

    Jayzar

    Hello John,

I highly recommend getting in touch with your IT administrator that allow transcripts(captions) feature has been enabled in meeting policies. Please refer the following article for more details: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteam...

    Hi Jayzar,

    Thanks for following up.

Unfortunately, the instructions in the link provided by you were not helpful. That was the procedure that I used to follow to enable Closed Captioning but the option to turn it on in the controls menu has disappeared (see below in screen capture).

    Any additional thoughts?

    Thanks, again.
