Remote Far End Camera Control

Hiya

This has just been enabled for our meeting rooms and is a useful tool. However, when controlling via the PTZ controls app through a teams meeting there is a message that appears on the screen that says "X is controlling your camera", It's quite intrusive. Does anyone know a way to disable it?

Under the section privacy I don't have any options relating to remote camera control.

Can you perhaps attach a screenshot of these options?

Yes, there is a way to disable the "X is controlling your camera" message in Microsoft Teams. Here are the steps:

Open Microsoft Teams. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner. Select Settings. Click on Privacy. Scroll down to the Meetings section. Under Remote camera control, uncheck the box next to Show message when someone is controlling my camera. Click Save. Once you have followed these steps, the message will no longer appear when someone is controlling your camera in a Teams meeting.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind:

This setting is applied to your entire account, so it will affect all Teams meetings that you join. If you are the meeting organizer, you can also disable the message for all participants in the meeting. To do this, open the meeting settings and uncheck the box next to Show message when someone is controlling my camera. If you are using a third-party camera control app, you may need to adjust the settings in that app to disable the message.
