Controlling settings, permissions, and membership within Teams and channels
Hello Véronique L,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. My name is Eunice and I'm happy to help.
I am sorry you are experiencing this problem. In Microsoft Teams, you can't automatically set notifications for all team members by default. However, there are a few ways to ensure that team members are notified about new posts in a channel:
- @Mentions: Use @channel or @team in your posts. This will notify everyone in the channel or team, respectively 1
- Channel Notifications:
Encourage team members to set their own channel notifications. They can do this by:
Clicking on the three dots (...) next to the channel name.
Selecting Channel notifications.
Choosing All new posts and setting it to Banner and feed.
- Pin Important Messages: Pin important messages to the top of the channel to ensure visibility.
While you can't control notifications for others, educating your team on how to set their notifications can help ensure everyone stays informed.
