Is there a way to notify team members in a channel when there is a new post?

I know I can set notifications for myself, but is there a way to automatically notify everyone else?

    Hello Véronique L,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. My name is Eunice and I'm happy to help.

I am sorry you are experiencing this problem. In Microsoft Teams, you can't automatically set notifications for all team members by default. However, there are a few ways to ensure that team members are notified about new posts in a channel:

    1. @Mentions: Use @channel or @team in your posts. This will notify everyone in the channel or team, respectively 1
    2. Channel Notifications:

Encourage team members to set their own channel notifications. They can do this by:

Clicking on the three dots (...) next to the channel name.

    Selecting Channel notifications.

Choosing All new posts and setting it to Banner and feed.

    1. Pin Important Messages: Pin important messages to the top of the channel to ensure visibility.

While you can't control notifications for others, educating your team on how to set their notifications can help ensure everyone stays informed.

    Hello Megmed,

If you want to notify a subset of your group members, I would advise you create a TAG for that purpose.

Click on the three dots (...) next to the Team name(for tags in general channels) or channel name(for tags in private and shared channels) and select manage tags. There you can create a tag called 'Managers' and use that to notify a group of people.

    Hi,

I found the tag function in the 'channels' but I can't find it in just the 'chats' part of team which is what we use?

I need answers on how to notify a group of people (e.g managers) in a chat. I don't want to notify everyone in the chat and it's more than one person? I want to do this without having to name each person? Can I create a group and just @ the group?
