I have followed both Newtech and Teams guidance and the issue encountered was an anomaly thanks for your advise which I have in place as indicated in my message.
I believe it could be outage issue encountered on the 17th of June around 11:30 BST
Thanks any additional experience or support would be most valued.

You could contact IT admin to check if there is any related advisory of Microsoft Teams in Microsoft 365 admin center > Health: Service health.
