Audio Loop Problem using Brio 4k from Logitec

For whatever reason every time I unmute myself in a Microsoft teams chat conference, I am told no one can hear me, and someone's voice loops for my audio as a 1sec repeat loop... Any idea how to fix

I have an Apple Mac Mini with Apple M2 Pro

32GB Memory

OS: 13.2.1

The webcam is connected directly to the back of the MacMini with no adapters.

It works fine with Google Meet and Zoom.

I have restarted computer and still same issues.

    This issue happens when using:

    • A Mac
    • A Logi or Logitech webcam that has a USB-C output that's then converted to USB-A - either with a convertor cable, or by plugging into a monitor or hub

I've diagnosed the issue for Logi and they're not interested in fixing which is why they send you back to Amazon etc. I even offered to help test some new firmware or software for them but no.

    The solution is to:

    1. Either plug directly into a USB-C port on the Mac

    2) Or get a webcam from pretty much any other company - I ended up going for the AnkerWork B600 which has worked perfectly, connected via the USB hub on my monitor still.

I'm intrigued that you said it's connected directly in - to a USB-C port, presumably? But it's still a Logi, so I would follow Solution 2 above.

With all due respect, I want this to work via the app, not a browser. This is either an apple issue or an apple/microsoft teams issue. with M2 chip.

Tried that and that did work for about 5 minutes.. then no one could hear me at all... They could see me and I could hear and see them but audio failed. This time it did not loop... just no sound at all.

    Hi Rusty,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues whenever you unmute yourself. First, let's make sure that the user's Teams app cache files are not corrupted. Please follow the steps below.

    Clear Teams cache in macOS

If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.

In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.

Enter the following command, and then press Return:

    rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams

    Restart Teams.
