Access Denied with read permission

Question

Hi,

if I try

• open the site content in root site with read permission or
• open PDF file with link (copy link) from root site document library read permission I get an access denied error. In other subsite everything works fine.
  Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

Hi @Török, Nikoletta EXT ,

Whether other users occur this issue? Please check whether your PDF file and the document library have unique permission.

Open the details pane > Manage access > Advanced, you could check your user permission.

And you could try to share the PDF file with user.

Hi,
sorry for my late answer, I did not get a notification. This error still present on the root site with read permission, I uploaded new document to the Shared Documents and Share with link and the users get access denied error message. If I open the document library with read permission and open document directly from the library, no error but if I open with link and open the site content then I get the access denied error.
