Bug: Replying on an email while text is highlighted

Hello,

I found this annoying bug.

Steps to repro

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Select any email in your Inbox
  3. In the Preview pane and highlight some text (no need to copy it just highlight it)
  4. Click on Reply

Expected behavior: reply email is opened and you can see the original email in the body

Actual: reply email is opened, you can see the header of the original email and the previously highlighted text instead of the full body of the original email

The same behavior, when you open the email in a new window instead or using the preview.

    Hi Balazs,

Have you reported this issue via "Help > Contact Support" in Outlook? That is the best way to get this type of report to the development team for Outlook for Mac.

Except this is not a bug. It is the expected behavior.

If you have selected text and choose to reply or forward, whatever is selected is brought forward to be replied to or forwarded.

A single click without selecting things results in the entire message body being brought forward.

You can vote to have this behavior changed in the UserVoice forum.
