    Hello! Erik Lohmann

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community!

As per checking your inquiry here, that you are asking if the Microsoft Loop is offered for G3 Licenses, which is a government type of Office license, just to set your expectations that we have limited resources. However, as I have checked here that, you will need to have the following subscriptions for all the Loop app features to work: Microsoft 365 Business Standard/Business Premium, and Microsoft 365 E3/E5 - Loop access via Microsoft 365 subscriptions - Microsoft Support. Also, only your IT admin can manage this feature in your organization/company: Get started with Microsoft Loop - Microsoft Support

If you have any suggestions, features, ideas feel free to put them in our feedback hub app: How do I give feedback on Microsoft 365? - Microsoft Support

I hope this helps you and your concern

    Thank you,

    Hello! Erik Lohmann!

    Thank you for the reply!

Technically, your IT Admin will be the one who will manage this to be enabled in your organization. As they are the ones managing your Licenses, but yes you will require Microsoft 365 Business Standard/Business Premium, and Microsoft 365 E3/E5, for all the LOOP App features to work. You may contact your IT admin and let them contact our live support for them to be informed of what needs to be done to have LOOP enabled in your organization.

You can contact them through here: Contact Us - Microsoft Support

I hope I have answered your question.

So I talked to my IT department and they are under the impression that it wont work with a G3 license and my department doesn't want to pay for a business license just to have loop enabled for our organization.

    Hello! Erik Lohmann

    Thank you for the reply!

Oh, I understand but yes you will require the mentioned subscription for the LOOP to work in your Office applications, since LOOP works only with Microsoft 365 Business/Enterprise.

    I hope you understand.
