Getting the following error when running a mail merge in Word in Office 365

Word could not merge the main document with the data source because the data records were empty or no data records matched your query options.

I am using Excel as my data source and all the records are OK when previewing the results. There are no filters or rules.

I ran msconfig, hid all Microsoft services, disabled the remaining services, rebooted. Same results.
