MRO 4.0.2 crashes when calling setMKLthreads

I recently installed MRO 4.0.2. I just tried calling setMKLthreads(16) for the first time since this install, and R crashes immediately ("R Session Aborted/R encountered a fatal error./The session was terminated" with the "bomb" icon). Any ideas why this would happen?
I am running RStudio version 1.4.1103.
Note I couldn't find a tag below that relates to MRO so I picked one at random, sorry about that.
