Security Access Code

I was requested to enter a Security Access  Code. Not having one, I requested and received one via an alternate e-mail address after 30 days. This is a four digit code.

However, when entering it I receive the message : " Please enter the 5-digit code. The code only contains numbers. " ???

No matter what I try, this always comes back. As far as I could find out, the code should be 4 digits.

If I try to continue, then I get the message : " There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later. ".

This post is done trough a new email account, as I have no longer access to my regular hotmail account. Anyone can help ? I need my e-mails ( contain invoices etc... ).

Thanks

I have received a message saying I have so many days to acquire a code.  They sent me a five digit one that I have not used because I am supposed to have three days left.  I contacted a phone number that came up when I typed in Outlook on Google.  They told me I have spyware and that they could get rid of it through my computer.  They asked for $399.99 for three years of service.  Now I have two questions myself: 1) Is that five digit code a legit thing? and 2) Did I get a legit Outlook service, or is the number I called a scam?

I hope this helps us both.

One more thing.  I wish I could find a phone number on site to ask about these questions.  I look and find a lot of FAQs that have nothing to do with my problem.

Why can't we go to someone that can answer a simple question?  I feel like the company is hanging us out to dry.  I'm going nuts here wondering if my computer has been compromised, but when I try to find anything out, I get sent around in circles.  Are there human voices out there?
