Hello,

The audio on my work laptop (Dell XPS 13 9380) is not working. There is a red "X" on the speaker icon. I also noticed that when I did some troubleshooting, it states that an audio device is NOT installed.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

    Hi @Sweeting,Jasmine ,

    audio worked before?

Please take a look in the Device Manager and check if the device is maybe disabled.
I don' know if it's possible to disable the audio device in the BIOS, but it's worth to check as well.

    Hi @Sweeting,Jasmine ,

if it's an hardware issue you can't do that much,

If the audio device is enabled in BIOS and Device Manager and the driver is installed ... I have no idea what could be the root cause of the issue.

The XPS is still under warranty? Maybe it's possible to contact Dell Hardware Support.
