Auto Reply for every email

I need to setup a general autoreply to all users internal and external when they email a specific address, they get a response saying 'We got it, we'll get back to you etc'

Because replying is not an action in rules, I had to enable the auto reply function which seems to be more of an out of office thing.  The issue is that it doesn't send the reply for multiple emails from the same sender.  How can this be overridden to reply to every email?

Or can I achieve what I need to using a different method (preferably without a subscription to a full blown CRM solution)?

Thanks!

Ian

    Hi Ian,

It is not feasible to set such an auto reply email to all the emails received in a specific mailbox in OWA or from server side. I understand that you may not use the Outlook client frequently. You can submit feedback via the link below regarding your requirement.

    Hi Yang,

What makes this "not feasible"? Its a function that previously existed, but no longer does, and its a clearly defined need: Every email to ___ address needs to be replied to, every time, to every address. single instances get missed, and can be problematic.

So will this rule be running when Outlook client isn't running? or does it push the settings to the server?

    Hi Ian,

I understand that you want to auto reply to all the emails sent to a specific email address with a certain message. Since the Out of Office assistant (auto reply) feature in Office 365 is set to only reply once for each sender, it is not feasible to achieving your requirement using this feature.

Based on my experience, you can set an inbox rule in the specific mailbox to auto reply to each email this mailbox receives. For the detailed steps, you can refer to the article below:

That's what I mean Yang.  I have 5 different devices all on different platforms, this is why I do all my settings in OWA (frankly where they should be).  It isn't feasible these days to have settings in any one local device.  I will receive email to the Outlook client about 10% of the time so it makes no sense to have any rule settings in the client.  I also want the reply to be timely (ie a few seconds after the person sends the email to me), not days after when I open the Outlook app.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but I need a server-side solution that runs completely independent of any client.

Thanks for the reply but I've seen this post and it's out of date.  Outlook 2010 is an old platform and I need this to be server-side so I don't need outlook running.  How do I do this in the latest OWA?
