Using SignTool in a remote desktop

Hello;

I have a Windows 10 Pro computer with a code signing certificate installed on it. The certificate is in a USB token.

Now I am accesing remotely from another PC using the Windows 10 remote desktop, but in that situation when I try to sign code I get an error message saying the certificate is not available.

But it is. In fact if I go with another remote desktop solution, I can do the signing process normally.

How can I make my certificate available when using Windows remote desktop?

Thank you!

    Hello @Daniel Schaer ,

    Thanks for your query.

    1.What's the exact error message?
    2.What's another remote desktop solution that you can do the signing process normally?
    3.Both the Standard Code Signing Certificates and EV Code Signing Certificates cannot be accessed through Remote Desktop (RDP). The USB token must be plugged in to the local computer. A local USB token can be used to sign a file on a remote machine but a remote USB Token cannot be used for signing at all.

    4.It will not work if the USB Token is plugged in to the Host Machine instead of Client with Remote Desktop, it immediately disconnects the USB Token. However, you can use TeamViewer or VNC and keep the Token on the Host.
