Feature Update 21H1 times out no matter what I set the time too

Question

We are pushing out the 21H1 feature update and we are having issues with the update timing out. Even if I set the max run time to 4 hours its still failing. It seems it doesn't matter how long I set the max run time too for some machines it just times out no matter what. I can see it runs for two hours and makes it to 90% then just sits there for the remaining two hours and doesn't do anything else.

The error code 0x80240022 means that: Operation failed for all the updates.

Based on the information provided, someone have a similar issue, may be we can try the following steps to troubleshoot first.

1. After stopping the Windows Update service, delete the connents of Software distribution folder.
2. Initiate the Software Update scan action on the client
3. If the componet store is corrupted, we may need to stop the WUA service, rename the Software distribution folder, and start the WUA service again.

For further troubleshooting, we could also view the WindowsUpdate.log on the client side.

I tried this fix and it did not resolve the issue for what we are trying to do.
