I have Office 365; and would like to use one Outlook pst file for five computers, so any updates for calendar and contacts will show on all five of them.  Sharing is easy with Word, Excel, etc., but I can't figure it out for Outlook.  I'm sure it's probably easy, I just don't know how to do it.  Is this possible?

I have Office 365 Pro Plus

3/20 - so back to my original question.  Is it possible for a small business to sync Outlook 365 to five computers - specifically syncing the calendars and contacts.

thank you.

    Hi MrDaffyD43,

To let updates made in one Office 365 account show in all Outlook clients of five computer, you can set up your Office 365 account in all the Outlook clients via Exchange mode. Exchange mode means use Outlook automatic account setup described in the article below to set up your account in the Outlook client.

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Outlook-email-setup-6e27792a-9267-4aa4-8bb6-c84ef146101b

Under this configuration, updates made in any Outlook client of the five will be shown in other clients.

    Regards,

    Larry

    Hi MrDaffyD43,

    Thanks for your reply.

Because different types of email accounts use different protocols. Some protocols support syncing emails, contacts, calendars and other mailbox items such as Exchange protocol while some protocols only sync emails such as IMAP protocol. For POP email accounts, it will only download items in Inbox to the client from the server and changes made in the specific client even won’t be synced to other clients. Hope this can help you understand why we need to know the type of your email account.

    Regards,

    Larry

    Hi MrDaffyD43,

As Palcouk said, contacts and calendars in an Office 365 email account or other Exchange accounts will be synced to all devices if you configure it in the Outlook client via Exchange mode. If your account type is POP or IMAP, then it’s not feasible to sync contacts and calendar items through the Outlook clients.

    Regards,

    Larry

Only if you use an outlook.com or other exchange mail account will it sync across other devices.

A pop mail account will not sync

An IMAP mail account will sync mail only

Hi Larry, thank you for your response.  The link takes me to how to set up my email.   I'm wanting to set up Calendar and Contacts to work on all five computers, not the email.
