Upgrading Skype For Business 2015 (Latest CU)

Hi,

We are planning to update SFB 2015 Enterprise Edition CU of our organization, We have below SFB Setup in place.

6 FE Servers.
2 Backend Servers
2 Director Servers
2 Edge servers.

We are planning to update CU on phase by phase manner considering business criticality. Eg 2 Front End servers each day (5 Days Plan).
we want to know in the above scenario whether my existing setup will work without updating backend database (Install-CsDatabase -Update -ConfiguredDatabases -SqlServerFqdn <SQL Server FQDN> -ExcludeCollocatedStores) because of sql database version differences between CU updated FE servers.

Don’t worry about that. Just make sure that your SQL server is supported by Skype for Business server 2015.

The following picture shows the supported list(everything is 64-bit edition, you'll notice, please don't use 32-bit editions):
