Windows Server Certifications

Hello All,

I wanted to get myself a Windows Server Certification to get more acclimated with a Windows Server environment and be able to prove to future employers that I know what I'm doing within a Windows Server environment.

However, now that Microsoft has or is retiring any relevant Windows Server related certifications, what am I supposed to do? I see that there are their new, "Role Based Certifications", however the vast majority of them appear to just be Cloud based. I also see the complete other end of the spectrum, in the Exam MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops certification. This appears to be local Desktop related material.

Unless I'm missing something, what certification can I take to prove my effectiveness in a Windows Server / virtual environment? Or has Microsoft just decided that Windows Server is no longer important (Which I would find extremely hard to believe).

Any response or clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Jack

Microsoft Certification Program is supported on their own forums. I'd try asking for assistance in dedicated forums here. (Participate\Ask A Question)
