Multiple Outlook Shared Calendar Issues

I have a user (boss) that shared his calendar out to 2 members in his office.  The 2 members get the below errors when working within that shared calendar.  The boss gave those members owner rights and full permissions to his calendar.

1.

"An error occurred when setting schedule permissions. You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation."

  • This above error occurs when one of those 2 members tries to give someone else permission to the boss' calendar.   The weird thing is they give the member the rights, they get that pop up and then the member has been added to the calendar.

"Sorry, we're having trouble opening this item.  This could be temporary, but if you see it again you might want to restart Outlook.  Your Digital ID name cannot be found by the underlying security system."

  • This above error occurs when the 2 members try to make changes to the calendar item.

"The move, copy, or deletion cannot be completed.  The items might have been moved or deleted, or you may not have sufficient permissions.  IF they item was sent as a task request or meeting request, the sender might not receive updates.  Your Digital ID name cannot be found by the underlying security system."

  • This above error occurs when the 2 members are trying to move or delete the calendar item.

The boss will get calendar reminders.  He will dismiss the reminders but they come back and keep coming back.  We have tried doing the command prompt fix action of outlook /cleanreminders, but it does not work.

Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jessica,

Are the users caching shared folders? Try switching that setting (in Account Settings) and see if it behaves better.

What version of Exchange are you using? Is everyone on Outlook 2016?

    Ma'am,

They are using Outlook 2016. I will try out that fix action.

    Thank you!
