How Do I Permanantly set "NoTrayContextMenu's" value to 1

KRISHP I AM KRISHP 96

I wanted to disable the right-click context menu on the taskbar,
So, I set "NoTrayContextMenu's" value to 1 which is at
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

After 2 boots I realized that the value was set to 0 already

can I prevent the system from doing this

Hi ,

I have set the registry and reboot multiple times, the value of NoTrayContextMenu still be 1. It seems something is preventing you modify the registry key.

First make sure Remove access to the context menu for the taskbar policy is not configured in group policy:

If the policy is not configured, I would suspect some third-party software are preventing modification. You can temporarily disable third-party software to do a check. Or perform a clean boot, clean boot can troubleshoot whether the issue is related with third party services.

dont have windows professional
so no group policy editor

Try to perform a clean boot and see whether the issue still occurs.

Seems you post the wrong location. You set the registry value in HKEY_CURRENT_USER before instead of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

I performed a clean boot and restarted several times
and yes nothing changed

Suddenly I realized that I have the app "TranslucentTB"
I uninstalled it and I restarted 2 times and its cool now

So I was using my PC for 2 hours now and I right clicked my taskbar and.....
bruh moment

Can u try one thing for me?

install eartrumpet and use ur pc for 1-2 hours

idk but my eartrumpet was closed already and it was set to disabled in taskmanager startup menu too

nvm I deleted eartrumpet still it reverted the value change ;(
