Spam from multiple unique "@hotmail.com" accounts

Hi,

In the last 14 hrs I've been receiving about 2500 spam mails,

the senders all have the same domain name "@hotmail.com".

For example, the sender of -

-Spam mail 1: ******@hotmail.com

-Spam mail 2: ******@hotmail.com

-Spam mail 3: ******@hotmail.com

etc.

The subjects of spam mails are also keep changing.

For example, the subject of -

-Spam mail1: "guopian"

-Spam mail2: "guofa"

-Spam mail2: "guofa"

etc.

The content/message of spam mail seems to be the same.

To prevent such junk mail from maxing out my Email account,

my only option now is to filter out all the E-mails that ends with

"@hotmail.com".

If a genuine customer who send me using his/her hotmail account,

I won't receive it.

Here's what I did but with no luck:

1)Allow E-mail account to be signed in only from my country

2)Scanned computer for virus

3)After "2)" is done, changed my E-mail account's password

Is it possible that hotmail.com is compromised?

because obtaining multiple, unique hotmail accounts was probably

done so via automated computer program.

Please help. Thank you in advance.

    Hi MRon1,

With the information that you've provided, you mentioned that the spam emails that you are receiving have subjects that keeps changing but the content or message of it are the same, then I suggest that you make a rule about it.

Kindly follow the steps below on how you can eliminate those spam emails that have same content.

    1. Click the Gear icon.

    1. Click View all Outlook settings on the bottom.

    1. Select Rules.
    2. Click Add new rule.
    • Name your rule.
    • Under Add a condition, select Message body includes under Keywords.
    • Then enter the key words or content of the email that are the same.
    • Under Add an action, select what you want to do to the email.
    1. Click Save on the upper part.

If the issue persist, let us know so that we can provide additional workaround.
