Purchasing SQL server

Hi

Please help me in following matter.

I am about to install an application in new machine. Which requirement is - windows server 2017 or above and SQL server 2017 or above for on premises.

I have already installed windows server 2019 Standard. Now I am looking to buy sql server 2017 or above.

As I went through the Microsoft store website. There are different verion and edition of sql server. I have no idea which one to buy.

I need sql server for just one application. My questions are.

Which sql server will be best for my need like standard ( This one is very expensive), Standard cal.
Where can I purchanse it ?
