Hi Sylvie,

I have updated the program, but the shortcuts (Ctrl + c, Ctrl + v) still don't work.  However, if I run in safe mode, the shortcuts do work now.

Any thoughts?

Hi Sylvie,

I figured it out.  There was an add-in that messed up the shortcuts.  I have disabled it in Outlook.

Super frustrating for a third party software to do this to such common commands.

Thanks for all your help.

    Hello Thomas Knotts,

Thanks for your confirmation and screenshot. Microsoft has released the new version 11629.20246 at June 11, 2019, if you tried Online repair but problem persists, to help you get the richer user experience, I recommend you update your Office to the latest version to check the results.

To do this, just click File > Office Account > Office Updates > Update Now to apply the new version.

    Best Regards,

    Sylvie

    Hi Sylvie,

    1. I ran Outlook in safe mode, but the problem persists with Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V.
    2. Ctrl + Insert and Shift + Insert did work, but Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V did not.
    3. I will try the "Online Repair" next week.
    4. Here is a screen shot of my Outlook Version

    Hello Thomas Knotts,

To identify if it related to add-ins, I would suggest you open Outlook in safe mode to check the results. To do this, press Win + R to open Run, enter Outlook.exe /safe then click OK.

Meanwhile, you can also try to perform an Online repair from Control Panel to check the results. For your reference: Repair Office from the Control Panel.

In addition, I would like to confirm some more information from you for further analysis:

    1. May I know if other shortcuts in Outlook works? If so, you can use Ctrl+Insert (copy) and Shift+Insert (paste) to check the outcome.
    2. Please provide us a screenshot of your Outlook version. See File > Office Account.

    Best Regards,

    Sylvie
