Outlook Email App for Android: Error Loading Message Content

Hello:

When I try to open new emails that come to my inbox, quite often, I get an error message which says "Error loading message content. Please check your network connections and try again." However, I get this when I have full 4G coverage.

I've attached a screenshot which shows my coverage is good. Can anyone explain why this happens so often, and how to stop it? Really thinking about switching to another email app.

Thanks in advance for your help!

This happens to me almost everyday. If I go into Apps and Force Stop the Outlook app everything works again when I go back to it. Very annoying, almost to the point where I'll look for another app. This happens with my Office 365 account but not with my Gmail account.

I have the same problem every day.  This has been an on going thing for at least a year, so it encompasses many releases of the app.  I usually just get pissed off and pull out my laptop.  This picture below was when I tried to pull up an email from the end of May.

My coworker and I both had this issue for a while (Exchange 2016 accounts). We solved it by deleting the account and re-adding it.  However, now we have a different problem. It's as if this is still happening but it doesn't give the error message.  The email opens but the only info displayed is the sender and the Subject line.  The body is blank, even though we know there should be content.

    Hi Andrea,

"Error loading message content. Please check your network connections and try again" can be encountered if you're having a very weak signal or you do not have any data on your phone. Since you mentioned that you have a 4G coverage, have you tried checking if you have a data?

On the other hand, if you would like to attach a screenshot on your next reply, you may check this article and follow the given steps: How to include a screenshot in your post.

We'll keep an eye out for your response.

Thanks for your reply! So I am glad it isn't just me--as the moderator seemed to suggest above. I have plenty of data and a good connection when this issues occurs, so it isn't my plan or phone. I too, am just thinking of using a different app. Any ideas on which are the best email apps that will support hotmail & outlook?
