Hi

I am trying to setup my email accounts on a new install of Outlook 2016 for Mac (with MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6). 1) Outlook opens a browser to authenticate the Gmail login; 2) the browser then opens Outlook, which goes back to 1 and then to 2 and then to 1 and so on.

Hello RautenH,

First, please make sure that the Outlook app has installed the latest update. See Check for Office for Mac updates automatically.

After that, quit Outlook and other Office apps.

  1. Go to KeyChain Access from your Utilities folder
  2. Search "Gmail/Google" under Login --> All Items and delete everything
  3. Launch Outlook

If the issue persists, please contact the in-app support through Help > Contact Support for dedicated assistance.

Appreciate your understanding.

Lance

Hi, i hope you're doing good today.

Try going to Gmail and double check in configuration > Forward and Mail POP/IMAP, that IMAP is enabled.

Thanks for the suggestion. IMAP is enabled. I am using my Gmail account with the Mac Mail client without any problems.
