How to get notifications for all e-mail folders? (And not just for the Inbox)

Hi,

i have the latest Outlook app (Android). The problem is that it only shows notifications for the e-mails that are put into "Inbox". If there is a message rule and the message goes into some other directory then i will not get any notification.

All the other directories require a manual refresh. How to resolve the issue?

Regards,

Blo

    Hi,

The solution does not work, you can select if you want to be notified about "Focused Inbox only" or "All emails". If you select "All emails" then it still does not work. Also, i have disabled the "Focused Inbox", so it was already set to "All emails" by default.

The bottom line is, if you have some Inbox subfolders or folders outside the Inbox then you will not get notifications for new e-mails that are placed into those folders (by message rules). This is a bug and should be fixed. I guess that the notifications do not appear because the messages are not automatically synced. If i go to the folder and do a manual sync then i can see the e-mail.

It is very easy to test that this feature is not working. You can also see from the "answer" that a lot of people still complain that it is not working.

    Hi blo333,

There is an additional option to get a desktop alert whenever you receive a new message if you have created a rule. You just need to click Rules > Manage Rules & Alerts > Change Rule > Edit Rule Settings > click Next button and you must need to enable the display a Desktop Alert option > click Yes > click Next > Finish > click Apply and OK to save changes.

This is only applicable if you are trying to access your email messages using the Outlook desktop app.

If you continue to have this issue even after performing the above steps, please reply to this thread. The system will notify me so I can get back to you and provide you more answers.

Hi, thanks, i browsed the link that you sent and i can see from there that the idea is marked as "Completed". Is it perhaps required to enable it from somewhere?
