I am having problem with Outlook Tasks. Reminders pop up when due but when I click on the Task it won't open, instead it goes to the Taskbar. When I try to click on the Task in the Taskbar it won't open therefore unable to view the task nor can I

click on links I have in the Task. I have checked for and done updates, Restarted but still no change.

    I discovered that the Tasks had been dragged off screen (by accident) and I was able to retrieve them by apps opening off screen - Google Search.
    Thanks for your input but the above link was the best option.

    Thank you for responding back.

    Glad that your problem has been resolved.

    The above steps are for resetting after Outlook cannot be used. If the problem is not serious, it is not recommended to try, because the configuration file will be cleared.

    If you have other questions in the future, please feel free to contact us.

    Hi ,PeterZardo1

    Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for sharing your concern with us today.

    Reset Outlook to a relatively clean initial state:

    (Note: This operation will remove all the settings in Outlook. Please back up the emails in the Outlook program first, but delete the configuration information from Outlook. The server will not be affected. You can view all the emails on the web page)

    1. Press and hold the Windows key + R key at the same time, enter regedit, press Enter to open the registry editor;
    2. Find the following key values and rename outlook and Addins to outlookold and Addinsold: (if a key value is not found, ignore it)

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\outlook

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\outlook

    1. Restart the computer, open Outlook, reconfigure the Outlook mailbox, and confirm whether it is normal.

    Hope this helps, and have a nice day.

    Best Regards,
