Adobe recently updated, and I've lost my PDF previewer in Outlook. It has disappeared from the Trust Centre options:

Any ideas to fix it?

    Hi Triline Production,

Thanks for your updates, I suggest you try the following for troubleshooting:

#1. You can update the Office desktop client first to see if the problem disappears after the update. The latest version 2106 (Build 14131.20320).

#2. except for updating, you can also try safe mode, this step mostly tests if issue is related with any Outlook add-ins and startup items: Right-click the Startbutton and click Run. > Type Outlook.exe /safe and click OK.

#3. Try to create a new mail profile and reconfigure your email account in the new profile (don’t delete the old profile): Create an Outlook profile - Outlook (microsoft.com)

    Best Regards,

    Linda

    Hi Triline Production,

    Thanks for your updates.

You may try to repair Office, here is the reference:https://support.office.com/en-US/Article/Repair-an-Office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b (Online Repair).

If the issue persists, I’d like to confirm the detailed version of your Outlook client. Please navigate to File> Office Account> capture a screenshot of the entire Product Information, remove PII please.

Welcome back to us if there are any updates.

    Best Regards,

    Thanks Linda,

I've gone through your steps, but to no avail. Acrobat is the default program.

I'm more concerned that there is now no option to have a PDF viewer in the Outlook/trust centre/attachement handling dialogue box. It seem that there isn't an option to have a PDF previewer at all anymore from the Outlook side of things.

As this list is in alphabetical order, I would expect PDF to appear in between the Microsoft programs and the Windows programs.

    Hi Triline Production,

    Greetings.

Please check if you have set up the Adobe Acrobat Reader as the default program which is used to open PDFs.

    1. Completely close your outlook client.
    2. Please make sure you have set up the Adobe Acrobat Reader as the default program which is used to open PDF files. ( For your reference Change default programs in Windows 10  ).
    3. Restart your outlook client and check it again.

If the Adobe Acrobat Reader has been set up as the default app, i suggest you uncheck it and set as default back, then restart PC and Outlook to see the results.

Feel free to let me know if there are any updates.

    Best Regards,

    Linda
