Hi - how do I give ADMIN permissions to someone so that they can go into a SHARED CALENDAR (accessed via Outlook) and add in Conditional Formatting (seen by all for events) and also add in / change the categories for the calendar as well?

Hi Julia,

Sorry for the late reply I was OOF.

What I did was : calendar> view > view settings > conditional formatting.

After that, I made sure to apply the current view only to the shared mailbox in the change view section.

also in the change view, save to this folder, visible to everyone.

So after that the view in my calendars is different from the shared calendar.

However, from my results, the view does not sync when I opened the shared mailbox in outlook on the web.

Please tell me what you get.

Regards,

Mac

Thank you! How do I then EDIT the Conditional Formatting (view) for just that calendar and also the categories as options for just that shared calendar? Should it be a shared mailbox or would making it an Equipment Calendar be better?

    Hi Julia,

    Greetings.

Thank you for raising your concern In this community.

If the share calendar you are talking about is the shared mailbox shared calendar, it's management Is directly controlled from the exchange admin center. So it normally depends on the permissions you give to your users. In your case, you can give the Read and manage permission under Manage mailbox delegation

Create a shared mailbox - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs

Please let me know your findings.

    Regards,
