I recently switched from the native email app on my Samsung Galaxy S9+ to Outlook for Android that I installed from the Play store. I did this on the advice of a reply I received on the Microsoft forums to solve the problem that when I delete an email in Outlook on my computer, the email does not get deleted in the native email app on my phone, even though I have both set for IMAP. Using the Outlook for Android app solves this problem BUT it does not include the original email message when I reply using the app on the phone. I have read a couple of forum posts about this and have seen there are two ways to make it do this. Please see attached screen shot. In the Reply/Reply All view, click either icon shown in red boxes.
HOWEVER, you must do this EVERY TIME you reply. I want to make it include the original message in Replies and Forwards EVERY TIME I reply or forward a message BY DEFAULT. I have not seen how to do this. If I can not make this the default then the Oulook for Android app is a non-starter for me and I will uninstall it and go back to the native Android app.
Also, the Outlook for Android app seems to make and save multiple drafts of messages, not just one. I found this out when I searched (in Outlook on my computer) for text that I knew was in a certain message and Outlook found several messages and they were all drafts of the same message. How to stop this from happening? The native app on the phone and Outlook on the computer only save ONE draft of each message.
Thanks,
Don
