Teams Mailbox

Hi,

We have a Teams group setup with multiple members and an associated mailbox that users have access to in the Outlook app. One specific user sees the number of unread emails increasing next to the group name in Outlook but no new emails are populating within the email pane. They are available in OWA but do not seem to come through to the desktop app and only the number increases.

The only workaround I have at the moment is to recreate the OST file for the user which will populate those emails once again, but I've had to do it a few times now and the user is getting quite frustrated.

Is there anything else I can try or look at as to the reason?

Thank you in advance

Hi Ben,

Greetings.

Thank you for raising your concern in this community.

If I understand clearly, in OWA he can see the new emails from the group but in outlook he only sees the number of unread emails without actually seeing the new emails.

In that situation, what happens when he clicks update folder in the send and receive?

Also please have a look at his settings

Switching between cache mode and online mode

Adding to that, please check using a new outlook profile to see if it makes a difference.

  1. In Outlook, select File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles
  2. Choose Show Profiles > Add.
  3. In the Profile Name box, type a name for the profile, and then choose OK.

I will ask for your patience as we are working through this.

Regards,

Mac

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I will try your suggestions when the issue re-occurs but it only tends to happen once every couple of months, so I may not be able to provide a response to your actions until it happens again.
