Recently, I was chatting with an Instagram user who claimed to be doing gta online money drops. I was very interested and saw that he had posted on his story “If you have Sprint or Verizon DM me I can easily money drop you” I have one of these phone services so I decided to text him. He said to give him my phone number and that I will recieve a code and I will have to give him that code. i recieved the code it was from Microsoft it stated: “From Microsoft: Enter code ****** directly in the Microsoft Store to enable charges to your mobile phone. Do NOT share this code.” It appears as if he had entered my number into a website and that website sent me the code. However, my dumb self sent him the code and right away he blocked me. I am most worried about the charges the message was talking about. Please help me.

    Hi Purplekoolaid70,

It is best to call your phone provider to see what esle we can do to block or reverse any charges. I'm hoping they can do something about it.

Please call your phone provider as soon as possbile.

    Sincerely,

Thanks for the information Karen, I followed the steps on the article and secured my account, however I am still a bit concerned since I dont really think securing my account will solve the issue, since the message said the charges will be aplied to my mobile phone, as in my phone provider will charge me, not Microsoft, or so I think so. I just want to know if I will be charged or if there is any threat to my account. Once again, thank you for this valuable information.
