    Hi Phaneeth,

    Sorry for the late response.

Theoretically there shouldn’t be any difference between verifying domain in Microsoft 365 admin center and Azure AD. If you found some inconsistent settings, you could re-confirm using Azure AD PowerShell. For more information, please refer to Using PowerShell to manage domain names in Azure AD.

Hope this helps. If you still have concerns about this, since this thread is already closed, please kindly post a new thread here at the forum, where could provide exclusive assistance to you, help you solve this problem more effectively and possibly provide some guidance to community members who may have similar questions. Thank you for your understanding:)

    Best regards,

    Jasmine

    Hello Jasmine,

I have used Azure AD to create a new user and when verifying the domain name I set up the MX record in Route 53.

But once I activated the Office 365 subscription, in https://admin.microsoft.com/ it has different values in setting up the MX record which I ignored since I have done that already using Azure Ad and this was causing the issue.

Can you please explain me the difference between verifying the domain from Azure portal and https://admin.microsoft.com/

    Hi Surya,

If you are using IMAP/POP accounts in your Outlook, chances are that it was caused by IMAP/POP configurations to your account. To check this, please kindly log into your account on the web mail client to see if you could receive emails there. If you could, please kindly contact the web mail provider and confirm if your configurations on Outlook is correct.

If you are using Microsoft 365 Business account or Outlook.com account and use automatic configuration (instead of adding as IMAP/POP manually) , please kindly log into Outlook on the web to see if you could receive emails there (For Business/for Outlook.com). If you could receive emails on Outlook on the web, please kindly switch to a new Outlook profile if you are using Windows/Mac and add your account there to see if you could receive emails there. Please use automatic confirmation when adding your account (Exchange).

If you couldn’t receive emails on Outlook on the web either, please kindly confirm if there are any NDR (none-delivery report) sent to the sender of those emails and kindly provide us a screenshot or as an attachment via Private Messages for further analysis. To better confirm your situation and help you solve the problem, please also provide us your affected email account and your computer system, as well as clarifying the commonality of the emails you could not receive (as per you mentioned you could not receive emails outside org in the title yet not getting any emails in the content of your post) for more information. You could also check your private messages from your forum account profile > view private messages. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Please feel free to let us know if there are any updates from you. I’ll be happy to continue working on this problem with you:)

    Best regards,

    Jasmine
