As we knew the quantity of the unread emails is showing next to the inbox folder.
I am wondering what is concept for apply same policy on the draft folder while this number is not indicating the quantity of unread emails.

There is no need for more screenshots. In the above screenshot you can see an arrow toward the number of draft email.
I am suggesting to use something else like (saved mails OR unsent) rather than the numbers.

My main concern that why the Microsoft team decided to use the same method (using numbers) as in inbox rather than replace the numbers with unsent or something similar.

According to your description, we would like to share the information that draft folder is use for saving emails messages and it will indicate quantity of save emails messages into the draft folder. So, when we save the emails messages into Outlook for Mac, that email message will be go to draft folder and draft folder will not take any effect about “read or unread” email messages but this folder will only give number of save emails messages information.
