Outlook via Office 365 will not open on my laptop but shows the following error messages:

The second box always appears after you click 'yes' or 'no' on the first box.

Last week I reset my computer and then upgraded to Windows 11 in the process. All the other Office apps work but I did get a message to install a language pack. Outlook just won't work. Please help.

    Hi John,

    Greetings.

Thank you for raising your concern in this community.

According to the error you get, please first try this steps.

From the win menu, please open Command prompt and right click to run as an administrator

And please run this command "regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll". This should re-register the concerned DLL file.

If it doesn't work, please make sure that you are logged in with the admin account and try again.

Please let me know your findings for further assistance.

    Regards,

    Mac

Thank you. I have logged in as the administrator account and run CMD as detailed.

Unfortunately, the same error continues to show when you attempt to start Outlook.

    Hi John,

    Thank you for your feedback.

Normally these are the steps to take for this type of errors, you can refer to this article SOLVED: Outlook 2016 "Failed to register a VB Script dll. - Microsoft Community. please give it another try.

if it still doesn't work, it it has to do with your windows 11, so you can reinstall office in a new windows profile and double check if you still face the same issue from there Create a local user or administrator account in Windows (microsoft.com).

I will be waiting for your feedback.

    Regards,

    Mac
