Receiving password reset code when I never requested to reset my password.

Hi,

This morning I received 2 emails to my email address linked to this account, about a half hour apart, with a password reset code, when I never requested to reset my password. Nor did I forget my password.

Could someone else be trying to access my account?

Please advise.

I'm still actually waiting for the verification code. And since we spoke, I received another email from Microsoft with a code to reset my password, when i'm not asking to reset my password.

Is there anyway I can email support directly?

Usually you receive it within few minutes.

    Thanks Jimmy.

How long does it usually take for microsoft to send me a verification code.

I figured it would send right away.

In order for me to follow up on my activity, I need a verification code that was sent to my other email address. And I'm still waiting. If it usually takes a long time, then maybe the password reset code that i received was actually from a long time ago? I dont know

Hello, i'm Timon and i'm glad to help you.

You can check your Microsoft's account activity here: https://account.microsoft.com/security/

Here you will find some useful information, such as the date your account was accessed, by which device, with which IP address.

If you find something wrong, i strongly advise you to change your password and recommend to use the two-step verification.
