Colour coding emails by sender - formatting disappears when filing under folders.

In Outlook, I've set up conditional formatting for emails from certain senders to appear with a particular colour.

This works fine for the inbox. However when I then file this email under a different folder, the colour-coding disappears and it all returns to black/blue text.

Do I really have to set up the same rule in EVERY SINGLE FOLDER, for EVERY SINGLE SENDER that I wish to colour code?! Surely there's an easier way - what am I missing?!

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the update. The Conditional formatting rule only applies to the folders which use the same view. If you have a custom view, you may apply it to other folders by clicking View > Change View > Apply Current View to Other Mail Folders.

    Perfect, thank you!

I knew there would be an easy fix, but I just couldn't figure it out via googling!

    This has sorted it.

    Hi Jomel,

I went to View - View Settings - Conditional Formatting - Add - Condition - entered the sender in the "from" box - clicked OK - Font - chose desired colour - clicked OK - clicked OK - clicked OK.
