Outlook display pane issues

Hello all,

I have been scratching my head over this for a few days now. We use Outlook Desktop 2019 with a Google Workspace. This specific user is connected with POP/SMTP to their Google account. On Monday, they started having the issue where everytime they created an email with a table or responded to an email with a table, the preview/display window will change to the last thing they copied. It is only a display issue because if the email is sent then it appears normally both in the sent items folder and on the recipients side. I have cleared the clipboard as well as all temporary files and I have done a full repair of Office. Is there a setting I am missing? Does anyone have any insight?

Update: It appears to happen with images as well as tables.

Update: After some more testing it looks any image on an editable window, such as a reply or a new email is distorted in the display as soon as the user begins to type.

    Hello EricReiss2,

Thanks for your post in this community.

Regarding your issue, we would like to suggest you to kindly check if the latest graphic drivers are installed for the hardware because outdated drivers often cause this kind of issue. If the latest drivers are installed, you can try with disabling "Hardware graphics acceleration" by follow the below steps and then check.

Open Outlook > go to File > Options > Advanced > Display > Disable hardware graphics acceleration

You can also check with Start Outlook in safe mode (with CTRL + R and type : outlook.exe /safe) and check the result. If it works in Safe Mode, then the is likely to be a conflicting or corrupt add-in. Disable all add-ins (Go to File -> Option -> Add-Ins -> Go and Disable all) and then open Outlook to confirm, if it works then enable add-in one by one until you get to the  to the one which causing Outlook issue.

You can also check if you access such affected user account from different PC’s Outlook, does the same issue occurs or not.

If still facing the same issue, request you to kindly provide us your Outlook 365 version details by follow About Office: What version of Office am I using and provide video about your issue via Private Message only, so we can check it and assist you further. Your kind co-operation will be highly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your precious time. Stay safe and healthy. Have a nice day.

    Regards,

    Ankita Vaidya
