Alias Recovery

Hello, I will try and keep this as short but informative as possible,

My primary alias was a hotmail.co.uk. This email is what I have used for my business up until I decided to make a different email which is a outlook.com email as my primary alias. In this process, I thought that by doing this I was just removing the hotmail.co.uk email from receiving emails directed to the newer outlook.com email but instead it may have completed deleted this alias forever which has led to me not being to receive emails. I am aware there is a 30 day waiting period before you can recover a removed alias but I am also aware that ahotmail.co.uk alias may not be able to be recovered once removed from the list of alias's. If I can never recover the hotmail.co.uk alias, is there some way I can continue to receive emails through the outlook.com alias. as it is currently not allowing this.

This email is crucial for my business as it has all personal, order and accounts contacts on it so any type of help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello IanHetherington1

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but once an alias has been removed - the action is permanent. That address can never be recovered/reused again as per the notice in that attached screenshot that is displayed. There is no 30 day recovery period for an alias email address.

Outlook MVP Diane Poremsky has created a UserVoice suggestion regarding the recovery of alias addresses which you might want to vote on but unfortunately it won't help you today.

If by that, you're asking "can I still get email using the old alias address?" - the answer is also no.
